My Autobiography

I am Cristal Joy Autriz, born on September 25, 2006, in Palattao, Naguilian, Isabela. I am a simple person with big dreams, goals, and aspirations in life. My journey has been filled with challenges, lessons, and memorable experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.

As a baby, I was raised in a loving family that always did its best to care for me. Although we were not financially blessed, my parents worked hard to provide for our needs. I grew up surrounded by love, guidance, and support. I may not remember much about my early years, but the stories shared by my family remind me of how much I was cared for and protected.

During my childhood, life was simple and full of happiness. I spent most of my time playing with my siblings and friends. We enjoyed outdoor games, shared stories, and created memories that I still treasure today. I learned important values such as respect, kindness, honesty, and responsibility from my family. These values became the foundation of my character as I grew older.

I am the second child among four siblings. My family has faced many struggles throughout the years. My older brother was supposed to be in his third year of college, but he had to stop studying because of a serious vision problem. My younger sibling was expected to graduate from Grade 10, but due to negative influences from friends, he also stopped attending school. Seeing these situations taught me the importance of making wise decisions and truly valuing my education.

One of the most painful events in my life happened when my father passed away in a tragic accident. He worked as a driver and did his best to provide for our family. Losing him at a young age was heartbreaking and left a huge emptiness in our lives. There were times when I wished he were still with us to witness our achievements and guide us through difficult moments. Despite the pain, his memory continues to inspire me to become strong and determined.

After my father’s passing, my mother became both a mother and a father to us. She worked at ULPI and sacrificed a lot to ensure that we could continue our education and have our basic needs. I witnessed her hard work, perseverance, and unconditional love every day. Her sacrifices became one of my greatest motivations in life. Whenever I feel tired or discouraged, I remember everything she has done for our family, and it gives me the strength to continue moving forward.

When I entered elementary school, I was a shy child. I often felt nervous talking to my classmates and teachers. It took time before I became comfortable interacting with others. However, as the years passed, I gradually gained confidence and learned how to communicate better. Elementary school became a place where I discovered my abilities and developed my interest in learning.

I worked hard in my studies because I wanted to make my family proud. There were times when lessons were difficult, and I struggled to understand certain topics. However, I always reminded myself that success comes through effort and determination. My hard work paid off when I became one of the top students in our school. Those achievements boosted my confidence and motivated me to continue striving for excellence.

As I entered high school, my world became bigger. I met new people, built new friendships, and experienced different situations that helped me mature. High school was a stage filled with excitement, challenges, and self-discovery. I learned how to manage my time, balance responsibilities, and become more independent. It was also during this time that I realized the importance of making good decisions because every choice can affect my future.

Like many teenagers, I faced moments of self-doubt and uncertainty. There were times when academic pressure, personal struggles, and family concerns made me feel overwhelmed. However, these experiences taught me resilience. Instead of giving up, I learned to face challenges with courage and determination. Every obstacle I overcame made me stronger and more confident in my abilities.

My friends also became an important part of my life. They supported me during difficult times and celebrated my successes with me. Through them, I learned the values of friendship, loyalty, trust, and understanding. The memories we created together brought joy and made my school life more meaningful.

Now that I am in college, I continue to pursue my education with dedication and hope. College life is not easy because it comes with greater responsibilities and expectations. There are times when the workload becomes challenging, but I remain focused on my goals. I see education as a pathway toward a better future not only for myself but also for my family.

My dream is to graduate, build a successful career, and help my family, especially my mother. I want to repay all the sacrifices she has made for us. I want to provide her with a comfortable life and make her proud of everything I achieve. This dream motivates me to work hard every day and never lose sight of my goals.

Looking back on my life, I realize that every experience—whether happy or painful—has helped shape me into who I am today. My childhood memories, academic achievements, family struggles, friendships, and personal challenges have all contributed to my growth. They have taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, responsibility, gratitude, and faith.

As I continue my journey, I carry with me the lessons I have learned, the values taught by my family, and the hope of achieving my dreams. I firmly believe that through hard work, determination, faith in God, and a positive attitude, I can overcome any challenge that comes my way. My story is still being written, and I look forward to creating a brighter future for myself and the people I love.

A journey from childhood to adolescence.
