How BLACKPINK’s New Music Proves They are Still the Queens of K-pop

Blackpink is back with DEADLINE, and the MV of its title track GO. It marks the K-pop band, comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé’s first major music release since Born Pink in 2022. Here’s why the new EP is crucial.

Blackpink made a massive comeback with the release of DEADLINE, their 3rd mini album, along with the full music video of GO on February 27. The K-pop band, comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé, brought the house down by garnering massive YouTube records within minutes of their release. The title track GO comes as the group recently became the first artist to surpass 100 million YouTube subscribers. Infact, DEADLINE marks Blackpink’s first full group music release in over three years, since Born Pink (2022). It also concludes the era that followed their DEADLINE World Tour (2025–early 2026), which was an all-stadium run across Asia, Europe, and North America, spanning 16 cities and 33 concerts.
